Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, conduct fleet inspections, and respond to roadside service calls with a service truck.

Qualifications include being 18+, passing a pre-employment drug screen, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy tires (30–250 lbs.).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and awkward postures or vibration.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols and uphold company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across various vehicle types: passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including:

Commercial Tires

HVAC systems

Brakes

PM Inspections

Drivetrain

Electrical Systems

Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.

Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations.

Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck (F-350), when needed.

Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).

Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.

Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.
