Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor known for delivering energy solutions and turnkey in-house capabilities. We seek an experienced technician to repair, maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration systems on commercial equipment.

The role requires strong communication, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to train junior techs. On-site work with potential background checks and drug screening, and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience maintaining similar commercial equipment with Universal CFC certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must wear PPE and maintain neat appearance.
• Able to stand, sit or squat for extended periods.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain refrigeration racks and one-on-one systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Read and understand electrical schematics.
• Possess solid knowledge of building blueprints.
• Mentor and train lower-level technicians.
• Maintain safety per OSHA and NFPA 70e standards.
• Stay organized and work under pressure; operate with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain refrigeration racks \ one on one system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all refrigeration related equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Solid knowledge of building blueprints.
• Willing to mentor and train lower-level techs.
• Strong understanding of job site safety.
• Must be organized and able to work under pressure.
• Self-motivated and work with little supervision.
• Maintain safe work practices in support of OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Valid Vehicle Operators license
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e., but not limited to, dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
• Working knowledge of desktop computers and Internet based programs to perform required annual training.
• Ability to wear a company uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance.
• This position will require a background check and drug screening.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $48.41 - $56.95 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
