Description

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will ensure the hospital remains a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices, treatment areas, nurse stations, conference rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean assigned areas with hospital-approved germicidal detergents and equipment, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and floor stripping.
  • Wash walls, fixtures, sills, and polish brass and stainless steel as needed.
  • Report mechanical malfunctions and damages to walls, doors, or furniture.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Move furniture and push/pull carts.
  • Collect, dispose of trash, and disinfect receptacles.
  • Dust furniture, apply polish, and arrange furniture.
  • Make unoccupied beds and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
  • Clean and disinfect isolation rooms and collect linen/trash.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and janitorial supplies.
  • Work on varying shifts as needed.
Credentials:
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 0-1 years of institutional cleaning experience preferred
