Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair propane systems for residential and commercial customers in and around Des Moines. You’ll be the reliable face in the field, responding to emergencies and ensuring safety at every step.

You’ll thrive in a hands-on role with local routes, customer service duties, and occasional appliance service support as demand requires. A strong safety mindset and clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of related service or technical experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain propane systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Respond to emergency calls and ensure safety compliance.
• Safely load, transport, and deliver propane as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and sharing safety information.
• Assist with appliance service and deliveries when needed based on customer demand.
