Job summary

Bowser Automotive is seeking a motivated Service Technician in Pleasant Hills, PA to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles with high-quality workmanship and service. You will perform multi-point inspections, communicate needs to Service Advisors, and stay current with automotive technology.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions Licenses.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while following manufacturer and dealership standards.
  • Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, tune-ups, suspension work, air conditioning service, engine repairs, and transmission service.
  • Replace or repair worn, damaged, or defective parts.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and document repair recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
  • Communicate repair needs with Service Advisors and Service Management.
  • Explain vehicle concerns or repair recommendations to customers when necessary.
  • Maintain current Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses and complete all required manufacturer and dealership training.
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Adhere to Bowser Automotive safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout an 8-hour workday.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with varying temperatures.
