Description
The Install and Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of car wash systems, ancillary products and chemicals. Also for documenting repairs and service, recommending changes to programs and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs.

The Install and Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of car wash systems, ancillary products and chemicals. Also for documenting repairs and service, recommending changes to programs and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs.
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch
- Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies. Performs diagnostic analysis
- Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary
- Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
- Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations
- Keep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance
- Accurately perceives information from others.
- Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Installation of new car wash equipment
- Removal of old car wash equipment
- Unloading and staging of new equipment on job sites
- Inspecting equipment prior to installation and document any damage occurred during shipment
- Provides superior customer service when interfacing with customers
- Knowledge of proper use of power tools, i.e. hammer drill, grinder
Requirements
Experience and Education Competencies
Education And/or Experience
- 5+ years field experience
- Previous experience with Car Wash Equipment
- Strong Mechanical and Plumbing skills
Communication/Language Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions
Technical Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
- Understanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power

Personal Competencies: Extreme attention to detail and accuracy. Must be flexible to work days, nights or weekends if necessary. This position has a varying work schedule and is required to participate in an on-call shift rotation. Some travel may be required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have ability to work in a team environment.
Safety: Must adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relationship to OSHA and Mark VII Equipment standards. Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check and have a clean driving record.
