Multiple positions located at or near our Mid Atlantic US Customer Center Locations - Allentown, PA; Shrewsbury, PA; Richmond, VA; Greensboro, NC; Charlotte, NC. This role is typically not eligible for relocation. If a position is not currently open in an area that you are seeking employment, we will reach out to qualified candidates once an opening is available.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Range

Starting Pay will range between $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus!

Job Overview

The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. Knowledge of all operations and parts manuals related to this equipment is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment and interact with customers to address equipment concerns.
  • Collaborate with Service Coordinator on parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
  • Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Provide technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs, including hands-on work to ensure equipment operates to customer’s requirements.
  • Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience with industrial or commercial mechanical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major violations such as DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless Driving, or multiple minor infractions in the past 3 years.
  • Availability for on-call duties after the first 90 days, with on-call weeks approximately every 4 weeks or more, as determined by the manager.
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and moving weight in line with safety policies.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Core Competencies
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of advanced network systems and basic vibration troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Air Quality systems (compressor/dryer – air treatment).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills, including handheld devices.
  • Maintain cost-efficient business travel practices.
Preferences
  • Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Veterans and active-duty military are encouraged to apply.
Travel & Work Arrangements
  • Travel within a 3-hour radius daily; company vehicle and fuel card provided.
