Job summary

Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the US with on-site carbon products, equipment, and services. The role includes 40 hours per week, some weekend work, and overtime opportunities in Downingtown or Pittsburgh area sites.

Responsibilities include performing carbon exchanges, light maintenance, and precise record-keeping. Candidates should have a GED, safety certifications, and 0–2 years hands-on experience; Class A CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required during pre-employment physical.
• Valid Driver's License (Class A preferred).
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training required within 3 months.
• TWIC credential required within 3 months.
• 0-2 years experience in a mechanical or hands-on industry required.
• Automotive engine maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Industrial vacuum operation and work at industrial facility experience preferred.

• Perform minor maintenance on Calgon Carbon equipment.
• Record project, expense, and time reports accurately.

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hrs/Wk - Full time position with overtime. Some weekend work required.

Implementation of customer required on-site field services with guidance related to CCC activated carbon product, equipment, and service offerings. Part of CCC’s customer support and service value proposition by contractual obligation. This is an intermediate level Field Technician position.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Performing carbon exchanges at customer sites
• Perform minor maintenance on Calgon Carbon equipment
• Record keeping - Accurately complete project reports, expense reports and time sheets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Candidate must successfully obtain during the pre-employment physical) is required
• Driver's License (Class A preferrable) is required
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (Candidate must be successfully completed within 3-months of hire date) is required
• TWIC - Transportation Work Identification Credential (Candidate must successfully obtain within 3-months of hire date) is required
