Job summary

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) in Canton, Ohio, is seeking a field-service technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain chassis, track-mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and related equipment in the field.

You will work under the Service Manager, access manuals and diagnostic tools, and perform diagnostics per dealer and factory standards to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment and perform diagnostic tests as per manuals and work orders.
• Experience reading equipment manuals and repair instructions to perform service work.
• Capable of using diagnostic laptops and tools in field service.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Service Manager with issue descriptions and supporting information.
• Reads and interprets manuals and repair orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Performs work as directed by Service Manager following CTOS standards.
• Diagnoses and repairs LMI Diagnostics and CAN bus systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs Utility trucks & Equipment.

Summary

Primary responsibility is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on chassis and track mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, in the field.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reports to Service Manager, who will provide brief description of issues and supporting information related to the vehicle.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders/instructions to perform required maintenance and service. (Must have the ability to utilize laptop, etc. to be able to access needed information and perform diagnostic tests.)
• Performs work as outlined in work instructions set forth by Service Manager; efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with Custom Truck One Source standards.
• Diagnosis and repair LMI Diagnostics (Load Moment Indicator) and CAN bus (Controller Area Network)
• Experience troubleshooting and repair of Utility trucks & Equipment
