Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Co. is seeking a Service Technician/Mechanic to repair aggregate/mining equipment, including crushers, screeners, and conveyors. You will diagnose mechanical problems, evaluate failures, and perform timely repairs both in the shop and in the field.

Candidates should have a mining background, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work off-hours as needed. CDL is preferred, and welding skills are a plus. Safety compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on equipment repair.
• Dealer or manufacturer training desirable.
• CDL preferred.

The Service Technician/Mechanic position is responsible for minor and major repair on aggregate/mining equipment including crushers, screeners, conveyor systems, etc.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

• Identifies and diagnoses mechanical problems on aggregate equipment
• Evaluates mechanical failures, determines cause and completes timely and effective repairs
  
• Responds to field service calls as assigned
• Other tasks as assigned

Skills & Requirements

• Mining background is a plus, familiar with aggregate equipment
• Possesses mechanical knowledge on various types of aggregate equipment
• Required to follow all safety policies
• Ability to take direction in the shop and field
• "Can do" attitude with a sense of urgency
  
• Strong communication skills
• Welding skills are a plus
• Both in shop and field work will be required
• Moderate computer skills

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on equipment repair
• Dealer or manufacturer training desirable
• CDL preferred
