Job summary

Flynn Arby's is seeking a Service Technician – Level 1 to support restaurant locations across the region. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of restaurant facilities and equipment, including HVAC/R and cooking equipment, with some plumbing and electrical work as needed.

This field-based position requires 100% travel within the assigned region and flexibility for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant access and business needs.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification with 5+ years of related experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to travel 100% within the region and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC/R systems, cooking equipment, refrigeration, lighting and other restaurant equipment.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor and management on repair status.
• Inspect equipment and determine repairs or replacements.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain documentation of work.
• Travel throughout the assigned region to service locations.
• Work weekends and holidays as required.

Position Overview

Flynn Arby's is seeking a Service Technician – Level 1 to support restaurant locations throughout the region. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of restaurant facilities and equipment, including HVAC/R systems, cooking equipment, refrigeration units, lighting, warming cabinets, and other building systems. The role will also perform minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs as needed.

This is a field-based position requiring 100% travel within the assigned region. Candidates must also be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on restaurant accessibility and business needs.

Position Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer, warranty, and industry standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems, cooking equipment, refrigeration units, lighting, warming cabinets, and other restaurant equipment.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and restaurant management regarding service needs and repair status.
• Inspect equipment and determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of completed work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Skills & Requirements

• HVAC certification with 5+ years of related experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Working knowledge of basic tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair restaurant facility and equipment issues.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a DOT drug screen, fit-for-duty physical, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record review, as permitted by applicable law.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
• Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency service needs when required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Climb ladders and safely perform rooftop work.
• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
