Job summary

Cecil Atkission Motors in Texas is seeking a Service Technician to service GM vehicles and perform repairs to dealership standards. You will test-drive vehicles, diagnose issues, and complete work efficiently with the team.

No prior experience is necessary as GM training is provided. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, along with a willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• No experience required; GM training provided.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and automotive knowledge.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a dealership setting.
• Willing to submit to drug screening and background checks.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders efficiently per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Service Technician Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Service Technician Qualifications

• No experience required. All GM training offered!
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong automotive background
• Teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• A clean & valid driver's license
• Fast learner and self-motivated
