Job summary

AHW LLC in Harvard, IL is seeking an Advanced Service Technician to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You will use Service Advisor and other tools, explain maintenance needs to customers, and support AMS products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in on-site service repairs.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools following Technical Manual procedures.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and/or turf equipment and established AMS products.
• Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs.
• Supports customer clinics.
• Reviews and explains maintenance or repair concerns to customers and documents on work order.
• May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers.
• May establish stocking processes with Parts Department to maintain seasonal inventory.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Completes all reports and forms required with work assignments.
• Accounts for all time and material used.
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to safety program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and/or turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
• Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
• Supports customer clinics
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
• May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
• May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience performing on-site service repairs

Pay Range

$22.00 - $40.00 per hour. Eligible for Technician Performance program in addition to hourly rate.
