West Central Equipment in Martinsburg, PA, seeks an Agriculture Equipment Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere and other heavy machinery. You will perform field service as needed, set up and pre-delivery prep for new equipment, and stay current on Deere products and competitors.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, a good toolbox, and the ability to follow technical manuals with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience performing service repairs on large agricultural or heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Adequate toolbox to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and other brands of ag equipment and technology, sometimes in the field
• Perform setup and pre-delivery preparation of new equipment
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments

Purpose:

Independently perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment. Candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic while completing tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Customer service and communication skills are required. The Ag Equipment Service Technician may be asked to clearly explain to a customer, in a courteous and effective manner, aspects of work being performed.

• High School diploma or equivalent experience required . . Associate Degree preferred
• Must have an adequate toolset/toolbox to perform job responsibilities
