Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Oak Creek, WI team. You will perform repairs on customer vehicles and our fleet, diagnose engines, and work on powertrain and support systems to keep fleets moving.

This role offers a Mon-Fri 3:00pm–11:30pm shift with a 15% premium for evenings and weekends. Four years of diesel experience with a diesel tech program, plus a state/federal A/C certification and CDL are preferred for candidates seeking growth with a

Qualifications

• Four years of diesel-focused experience and completion of a diesel tech program.
• Valid state or Federal A/C certification and CDL preferred.
• Ability to complete designated tasks on time and meet quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on customer vehicles, lease units, and company inventory.
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean and inspect engines.
• Overhaul, repair, rebuild, and adjust clutches, differentials, power divider systems, suspension, electrical, braking, fuel, cooling, steering, emission and hydraulic systems.
• Submit and complete technical reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights.
• Assist in rebuild and overhaul of engines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a diplomatic and courteous manner with customers and coworkers.
• Expand technical abilities through training and development opportunities.
• Complete at least 90% of assigned Peterbilt Training.

Your Next Big Career Move: Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic located in Oak Creek, WI

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Shift Premium: Any work performed/hours worked Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm - 5:59 am and/or any hours worked on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) will be paid a shift differential of 15% of your base wage.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Perform necessary repairs on customer vehicles, lease units and company inventory
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean and inspect engines
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, overhaul, repair, rebuild, and adjust clutches, differentials and power divider systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, braking systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, steering system, emission and hydraulic systems
• Submit and complete technical reports and documentation
• Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights
• Assist in the the rebuild and overhaul of engines
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Maintain a diplomatic and courteous manner in all dealings with customers and fellow employees
• Expand technical abilities through participation in training and development opportunities
• Timely completion of all assigned training, including at least 90% of assigned Peterbilt Training
• Possess a valid state or Federal mobile A/C certification
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

Physical and Mental Demands:

• The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• Typically four (4) years of experience, and has completed a diesel focus technical school program, able to complete designated tasks on time achieving quality requirements. A valid state or Federal A/C certification, CDL and other skills desired.
