Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic in Oak Creek, WI. You will perform repairs on customer vehicles, inspect engines, and service company inventory to keep fleets moving. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality workmanship.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm with a 15% shift differential for evening and weekend hours. A diesel tech background and A/C certification are required or desired for advancement and coverage of broader service needs.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience and completion of a diesel-focused technical school program.
• A valid state or Federal A/C certification is required.
• CDL and other relevant skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on customer vehicles, lease units and company inventory.
• Diagnose and inspect engines and components.
• Overhaul and repair clutches, differentials, power divider, suspensions, electrical and braking systems.
• Submit technical reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot fault codes and engine lights; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with team and management to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Complete required training, including Peterbilt training, with high completion rates.

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Shift Premium: Any work performed/hours worked Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm - 5:59 am and/or any hours worked on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) will be paid a shift differential of 15% of your base wage.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

• Perform necessary repairs on customer vehicles, lease units and company inventory
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean and inspect engines
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, overhaul, repair, rebuild, and adjust clutches, differentials and power divider systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, braking systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, steering system, emission and hydraulic systems
• Submit and complete technical reports and documentation
• Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights
• Assist in the the rebuild and overhaul of engines
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Maintain a diplomatic and courteous manner in all dealings with customers and fellow employees
• Expand technical abilities through participation in training and development opportunities
• Timely completion of all assigned training, including at least 90% of assigned Peterbilt Training
• Possess a valid state or Federal mobile A/C certification
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

Physical and Mental Demands

• The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

• Typically four (4) years of experience, and has completed a diesel focus technical school program, able to complete designated tasks on time achieving quality requirements. A valid state or Federal A/C certification, CDL and other skills desired.

Salary Description

$22.00/hr. - $33.00/hr. (Depending on Experience)
