Daikin Applied seeks a full-time HVAC Service Technician IV to lead up to 10 technicians across the Washington DC and Baltimore areas. You will oversee start-ups, installations, and on-site service for commercial equipment, ensuring contract requirements and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a strong background in maintenance, troubleshooting, and mentoring, with travel to job sites and active participation in safety programs. A valid driver’s license and HVAC credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification or associate degree preferred.
• EPA Universal Technician certification desired.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for up to 10 HVAC technicians.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up and installation of contracts.
• Review contracts/projects and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot to restore systems.
• Support sales with site surveys and technical training.

Come be part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive everything we do!Location: Washington DC, Baltimore areasYour Responsibilities:Provide leadership and oversight for up to 10 HVAC techniciansEnsure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts, and efficient and timely installation of jobs, providing maintenance according to contract requirements, and ensuring customer concerns/complaints are resolved in a timely mannerPerform ongoing review of contracts/projects, implementing corrective actions to ensure costs are consistent with financial plans. Responsible for negotiating subcontract agreements as required and serving as a primary contactUtilize the Service Management System and contract review process to establish an effective work plan which maximizes the capabilities of each team member and provide prompt customer service and ensure that requirements and commitments of each contract are metPerform and/or provide expert counsel on scheduled, preventive maintenance on any equipment/system under contract agreement by inspecting and checking equipment to ensure it is in satisfactory working orderRespond to or assist other Service Technicians responding to emergency service calls to keep system downtime to a minimum. Provide counsel, coaching and leadership and/or analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment/systems to full operation and recommend revisions/replacements/upgrades when necessary for effectiveness or in cases of obsolescenceSupport Sales by assisting with job site surveys, reviewing estimates for accuracy, participating in sales promotion programs, and providing technical training and guidance. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing.
