Daikin Applied is hiring an HVAC Installation Technician III – Pipefitter/Welder in the Washington DC area. You will install, repair, and retrofit commercial HVAC systems, lead junior technicians, and maintain safety standards while handling a range of equipment from rooftops to chillers.

You will log job data, interact with customers, and participate in training programs. A valid driver's license and HVAC credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience and increasing responsibility.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• HVAC certification/Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts, and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring for fan coils, chillers, water source heat pumps, AHU, rooftops, cooling towers and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent premature breakdowns and reduce callbacks.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits; mentor Levels I and II through hands-on demonstrations and centrifugal rebuilds where applicable.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, reports and other articles promptly; communicate status with customers before, during, and after service calls.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences; participate in available regional training and Daikin Learning.

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
