Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college pursuing a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 (optional).
• Ability to work full‑time during the summer and part‑time during school breaks (if applicable).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance.
• Assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing.
• Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement.
• Complete assigned safety and technical training.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders.
• Participate in mentoring and development activities.

Position Summary

The Service Technician Intern is designed for students currently enrolled in a diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or industrial maintenance program. Interns gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced Service Technicians while applying classroom knowledge in a real‑world environment. This internship is intended to develop future Service Apprentices and full‑time Service Technicians at Time Manufacturing.
