Summary

The Service Technician III provides service and repair of commercial cooking equipment. The Tech III holds three of four CFESA certifications and is trained in at least two skill sets. They maintain productivity, demonstrate leadership, mentor, train, and lead other team members.

Description
  • Operates with a 'Safety First' mindset
  • Troubleshoots and repairs gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment
  • Uses tablet to document tasks (parts order, work order, timesheet) promptly
  • Communicates professionally with customers regarding repairs and status
  • Uses proper tools for repairs, including hand and power tools
  • Monitors truck stock to ensure required parts are available
  • Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms per Heritage's standards
  • Participates in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
  • Obtains correct part numbers through branch parts personnel
  • Collects payment on COD jobs
  • Contributes to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates
  • Participates in training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Performs other duties as required
Required Education | Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screening required
  • 5 years of applicable experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting safety standards
  • Possess three of four CFESA certifications: electrical, gas, refrigeration, steam

Work Environment
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequently up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Repeated bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders
  • Extensive travel to work sites
  • Exposure to electrical, steam, high heat environments requiring safety precautions
  • Occasional to frequent exertion in extreme temperatures
