Job summary

Elmer's Home Services, serving San Antonio, TX, seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial systems while delivering outstanding customer service on every call.

You will follow safety protocols, maintain service documentation, and contribute to a growing team with opportunities for advancement into Lead, Senior Technician, or Service Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience.
• EPA 608 Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues and implement solutions.
• Install and replace components including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
• Test system performance and communicate findings to homeowners.

Job Summary:

The A/C Service Technicianrepairs various air quality systems.The main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.

We don’t just fix air conditioners. We restore comfort, protect homes, and build lifelong customer relationships.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join Elmer's growing service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems while delivering an outstanding customer experience at every call.

The ideal technician is skilled, dependable, professional, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues and implement effective solutions
• Install and replace components including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, and refrigerant lines
• Test system performance using proper diagnostic tools and procedures
• Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding findings, recommendations, and options
• Accurately complete service documentation in ServiceTitan
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
• Follow all safety protocols, EPA guidelines, and company policies
• Participate in on-call rotation and support overtime as needed during peak seasons

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of hands‑on HVAC service experience
• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Professional appearance, communication, and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE Certification
• Experience with heat pumps, mini‑splits, and high‑efficiency systems
• Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software
