Job summary

Securitas Technology Corporation is seeking a field service technician in Lubbock, TX, to service life safety, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems at client sites. You will respond to calls, diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and document actions for clear customer communication.

The role requires Low voltage experience, EL06 proximity licensing, and strong knowledge of Bosch, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, or Simplex fire systems. A competitive hourly rate and company benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms.
• Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and Access Control systems a plus.
• Iowa Fire Protection System License required or near completion.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls, inspections, and trouble tickets for life safety systems to keep client sites compliant.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system faults in the field independently or with others.
• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and inspections per codes and manufacturer specs.
• Configure, program, and modify user permissions and device settings on systems.
• Document all service activity and create detailed technical reports for customers.
• Test operations after repairs or upgrades to ensure proper function and code compliance.
• Install, commission, and support software/firmware/hardware upgrades for fire and security systems.
• Assist with system expansions and major modifications while following safety policies.

Salary Range: $27.00 To $36.00 Hourly

Our service teams are responsible for providing service on Securitas Technology products at client sites. The position provides client contact for all post-installation problems on systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.

This role req uires an EL06 license or must be very close to getting their EL06 License.

JobDuties

• Respond to service calls, inspections, and trouble tickets for fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and video surveillance systems to ensure customer systems remain operational and compliant.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system faults in the field, working independently or alongside other technicians to restore system functionality.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, testing, and inspections on life safety and electronic security systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
• Configure, program, and make routine system changes including user permissions, access control databases, panel programming, and device configuration.
• Document all service activity, repairs, inspections, and system modifications accurately within company service management and reporting platforms.
• Complete detailed service reports and technical documentation that clearly communicate system conditions, deficiencies, corrective actions, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical customers.
• Test system operation following repairs, programming changes, upgrades, or device replacements to verify proper performance and code compliance.
• Install, commission, and support software, firmware, and hardware upgrades for fire alarm, access control, intrusion detection, and video monitoring systems.
• Assist with system expansions, device additions, major modifications, and equipment replacements while maintaining adherence to safety standards, company procedures, and applicable fire and security regulations.
• Provide professional customer support on-site by explaining system operation, identifying potential issues, and recommending corrective actions or improvements.
• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms
• Bosch, Silent Knighthighly preferred.
• Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens, or other commercial fire systems is a plus.
• Iowa Fire Protection System License through the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) Required
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and Access Control systems a plus
