Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting low voltage equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, burglary alarms, intrusion systems and fire alarms is required.
• Fire alarm experience with Bosch/Silent Knight is highly preferred; others a plus.
• ESA/NTS certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills are expected.
• Certifications in enterprise CCTV and access control are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure system uptime and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues individually or as part of a team.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize availability and identify faults.
• Make routine configuration changes (permissions, app config).
• Document all modifications in change control system.
• Prepare technical documentation for deployment for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct pre-deployment end-to-end testing of upgrades or mods.
• Install software upgrades and major modifications on-site.

Our service teams are responsible for providing service on Securitas Technology products at client sites. The position provides client contact for all post-installation problems on systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed. This role requires an active EL06 license or must be very close to getting their EL06 License.

Job Duties

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Work individually and as a team to diagnose and resolve application issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
• Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.).
• Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system.
• Produce quality technical documentation describing the conceptual and quantitative facets of system deployment, intended for both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications.
• Perform on site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms.
• Fire alarm experience: Bosch, Silent Knight highly preferred. Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens, or other commercial fire systems is a plus.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician preferred.
• NTS Certified Service Technician preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and Access Control systems a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Walk, crawl, sit, and climb into possible tight spaces.
• Stand, bend, reach, and stoop at client sites.
• Must be able to hear, talk, see (including the ability to differentiate colors), type, and operate a vehicle with a valid state driver's license without restrictions.
• Balance at various heights (possibly 8-24 ft) when on or in elevated workplaces.
• Lift items up to or around 50 pounds and carefully maneuver carts and other devices.
• Overhead lifting is also required.
