Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced HVAC service technician to install, troubleshoot, and startup commercial systems across multiple equipment types. You will travel to customer sites, coordinate with team members and customers, and complete documentation with accuracy while following safety practices.

This role includes on-call rotation and maintaining tools and the company vehicle. Required are 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience, Universal EPA Certification, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems.
Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process.
Understands mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Universal EPA Certification.
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to abide by basic safe work practices.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
Ability to write reports.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot and startup commercial HVAC equipment.
Drive to and from customer sites as needed.
Communicate with Team Lead, Coordination Staff, Sales Staff and Customers.
Complete assigned tasks with minimal call-backs and accurate paperwork.
Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments.
Will be included in on call rotation as needed according to business volume and requirements
Take care of and maintain company tools and company vehicle

Job description

Install, troubleshoot and startup commercial HVAC including: Commercial DX equipment up to approximately 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, mini-splits, electric motor controls, light commercial furnaces, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers, air compressors.
Drive to and from customer sites as needed
Communicate with Team Lead, Coordination Staff, Sales Staff and Customers
Complete assigned tasks with minimal call-backs
Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
