Job summary

Polygon US is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, and operate temporary climate control equipment at client sites. You will support services like Temporary Climate Solutions and Emergency Drying, upholding Polygon’s values of Integrity, Excellence and Empathy.

Essential duties include setting up and demobilizing equipment, performing maintenance on downtime, and completing required safety and certifications within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of technical school or two years on the job experience in a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to perform duties that are physical in nature.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel on short notice, sometimes 1–3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites.
• Utilize downtime to maintain and prepare equipment for upcoming projects.
• Complete Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months including OSHA 10, DOT certifications, forklift/aerial lift, and safety courses.

Job description

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the Service Technician is responsible for install, repair, and operation of equipment in support of the services Polygon US provides to its customers while demonstrating Polygon’s values of Integrity, Excellence and Empathy. Services that are provided by Polygon include but are not limited to Temporary Climate Solutions and Emergency Drying Services.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites
• While not working on assigned projects, utilize down time to maintain, and prepare equipment for upcoming projects
• Completion of Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months of employment including:
• OSHA 10-hour training for general industry
• DOT physical and certification
• Fork-lift and aerial lift certification
• GHS Understanding safety data sheets
• Hazard communication for general industry
• Trailer load securement and safety
• Electrical safety courses as follows:
• Electrical Safe Work Practices
• Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout Tag out)
• Arc Flash
• Basic psychometrics

Job Qualifications
