Job summary

Byrider of Wausau is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will perform quality maintenance and repairs, diagnose systems, and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.

We offer training, equipment, and a team environment to grow your career in automotive service. Typical schedule is Mon–Fri with potential Saturday work based on needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose problems efficiently and accurately.
• Comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance and repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and other vehicle components.
• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and specialized service equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Perform test drives and diagnostic testing as needed to verify repairs.
• Identify additional repair or maintenance needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
• Provide accurate estimates of time and repairs needed.
• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Protect customer vehicles by keeping them clean and treating them with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read and understand repair orders, technical information, and service procedures

• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to continue learning
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
