Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician for Hangar 44. You will perform maintenance repairs and support the upkeep of our apartment communities, delivering the high level of service that makes Mark-Taylor homes.

Requirements include at least 1 year of service tech experience in multifamily, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and OSHA standards, plus basic English and computer skills. On-call shifts add $3/hour, with extra certification pay available.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of service tech experience in multifamily.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn/make-ready/work order technician is desirable.
• Basic written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on vacant units.
• Daily pool care and chemical balance.
• Perform minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to the manager.
• Share on-call duty and stay in uniform when needed.
• Assist in inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• 1 year minimum of service tech experience in multifamily required.
• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
