Job summary

Mark-Taylor, recognized as a top multifamily builder and manager in Arizona, is hiring a Lead Service Technician at Hangar 44 in Phoenix. You will help maintain our apartment communities by handling repairs and upkeep, ensuring five-star service that makes residents feel at home.

The role requires advanced maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more, with on-call incentives and certifications such as EPA/CPO. Growth and benefits are offered for full-time positions.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• One or more industry specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar).
• Service orientation and basic computer skills required.
• 2+ years experience in apartment maintenance roles such as turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready or work order technician.
• Basic written and verbal English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply for the community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair minor AC/heating, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall issues.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect for safety hazards and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty and be available in uniform/badge when needed.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
• Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $28.75/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• 2 or more years experience working as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician. make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
• Train and mentor other Service Technician and Facilities Technicians
