Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills is seeking skilled Service Technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles across all areas with specialization opportunities. The team has doubled customer pay hours to support growth and offers factory training, a supportive environment, and a range of benefits.

Essential duties include diagnosing issues, performing repairs per dealer and factory standards, coordinating with parts, testing drive, and documenting work.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per standards.
• Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts for warranty work or customer requests.
• Examines vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
