Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a dedicated Full-time Service Technician for our Butler, PA branch. The role involves installing and maintaining vending equipment at client sites, educating customers on operation, and performing repairs to ensure reliable service.

Daytime shift with every other week on-call coverage; a company vehicle is provided. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical/technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal communication to support client

Qualifications

• Experience in repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred.
• Must be 21+ to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment.
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs.
• Remove outdated and unused equipment.
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment.
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships.
• Order parts needed to complete repairs.
• Fix vending machines and kiosks through an assigned territory.
• Assist with install of machines and routes.

HEADQUARTERS SERVICE CENTER

Our Headquarters Service Center serves as the main support for all AVI operations throughout the United States. Departments include accounting, administration, finance, human resources, marketing, procurement, risk management, training and development, wellness and much more.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Full-time Service Technician for our Butler, PA Branch. Shift is mostly daylight and will have every other week coverage for on call for after hour calls. The after hour call coverage will receive an increase rate through that call week coverage. This position will have a company vehicle.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
