Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in Butler, PA is hiring a full-time Service Technician to install, service and repair vending and merchandising equipment at client locations within a defined territory. The daytime shift includes every other week on-call coverage for after-hours calls, and a company vehicle is provided.

Candidates should have strong mechanical and technical aptitude, prior repair experience with vending or small appliances, and a valid driver’s license (CDL not required).

Qualifications

• Experience repairing automated vending or small appliances.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Valid driver's license (CDL not required) and clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Install and service equipment at client locations within a designated area.
• Educate clients on operation of new equipment.
• Perform minor vending equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Test vending machines and kiosks for proper function.
• Build relationships with clients and customers.
• Order parts to complete repairs.
• Assist with installation of machines and routes.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Full time Service Technician for our Butler PA Branch Shift is mostly daylight and will have every other week coverage for on call for after hour calls The after hour call coverage will receive an increase rate through that call week coverage This position will have a company vehicle Founded in 1960 AVI Foodsystems has evolved into one of the most respected and trusted food service companies in the nation Providing comprehensive food services with a focus on the highest quality and freshest ingredients impeccable service and total value is the reputation we have earned and live up to everyday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs
• Remove outdated and unused equipment
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships
• Order parts needed to complete repairs
• Fix vending machines and kiosks through an assigned territory
• Assist with install of machines and routes

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Drivers License a CDL is NOT required and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
