Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is hiring an experienced Service Technician for Shelbyville, MI, with locations in Shelbyville, Gobles or Galesburg. The role focuses on propane service, tank installation, leak detection, and responsive customer support in a safety-focused team environment.

We value 2-3 years of propane/oil service experience, a High School Diploma, and (preferred) CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement. Expect on-call rotation evenings/weekends and opportunities for growth within a supportive

Qualifications

• 2-3 years propane/oil service preferred; HVAC experience helpful.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.
• CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation at customer sites.
• Identify and correct leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance and prepare spare tanks for service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with the Service Manager and team.

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join the team at the Shelbyville, MI customer service center. Superior Plus Propane is a premier propane company with exceptional employees who look out for one another's safety. Our diverse, committed and talented team is driven by our "Superior Way" internal processes that ensure a great work environment. This position will be based out of Shelbyville, Gobles or Galesburg.

What you’ll do:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will be cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
