Ambient Enterprises in Columbus, Ohio is seeking experienced and entry-level HVAC Service Technicians to support the growing service business. You will troubleshoot, start-up, and service a range of commercial HVAC equipment, working closely with a nationwide team to ensure reliable, efficient operation.

Candidates must have strong communication and organization, own hand tools, and EPA Universal certification. OSHA training and the ability to mentor others are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment including water source heat pumps & rooftop units.
• Startup experience in field service.
• Mentored others in the field.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Own hand tools and a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10-hour (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Master HVAC-R is a plus.
• Manufacturing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and service on HVAC equipment for various applications.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and components.
• Support the Columbus, Ohio service area with reliable on-site work.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Mentor junior technicians when needed.

Our diverse team delivers value to our clients from the design stages of new construction through the operation of existing buildings. Our HVAC service team provides start-up services for complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, as well as ongoing preventive maintenance, break/fix repair, and equipment retrofit services. Our Ambient team includes experienced professionals who focus on cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Job Description

HVAC Service Technicians specialize in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. We are searching for both experienced and entry-level HVAC technicians to help support the growing service business. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable, independent, and have communication and organizational skills. This role would serve our Columbus, Ohio area.

Requirements

• 5+ years of field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning.
• Must have knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems.
• Startup experience.
• Mentored others in the field.
• EPA Universal.
• Must have your own hand tools.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10-hour training certification and OSHA 30 (preferred).
• Master HVAC-R is a plus.
• Manufacturing certifications (i.e. Aaon, Smart Chiller, Samsung, ClimaCool, ClimateMaster..., etc. - preferred)

Estimated Salary: $35/hourly - $55/hourly
