Job summary

Mountain Home Auto Ranch in Mountain Home, ID, seeks an experienced automotive service technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles. You will diagnose and repair engine and electrical systems, communicate estimates, and work with the service team to ensure quality service.

Applicants should have 2+ years of hands-on experience, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and service work efficiently per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and inspect components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
