Bobcat of South Richmond in Richmond, VA is seeking a skilled Service Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work on compact equipment, including skid steers, excavators and related machinery. This hands-on role rewards precision, teamwork and a strong focus on quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of relevant experience, vocational training in diesel or heavy equipment repair, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Technical or vocational training in diesel, mechanical or heavy equipment repair is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely in a shop or field service environment.
• Must provide personal tools for use.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Bobcat of South Richmond., is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. We sell,rent and service industry-leading Bobcat compact equipment, Toyota material handling and Stihl outdoor power equipment, along with various top-of-the-line equipment used in commercial, residential and agricultural projects.

Position overview

As a Service Technician, you will perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work on compact equipment including skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, tractors and related equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills who take pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Bobcat and other compact construction equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance, hydraulic and electrical repairs and component replacements
