Job summary

Alfen B.V. is seeking a Service Technician to work on low- and medium-voltage installations across Belgium, focusing on the Ghent region.

You will ensure safe, reliable energy solutions, including battery storage and e-bus charging infrastructure, with independent responsibility in a growing energy company. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain gear, read electrical diagrams, and travel to the Netherlands for training.

Qualifications

• A technical degree (electrical engineering or electromechanics) or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical diagrams.
• Hands-on mindset and strong customer-oriented communication skills.
• Flexibility in working hours and Ghent-region locations; willingness to travel to the Netherlands for training.
• Good command of Dutch and English; French is a plus. Valid category B driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain low- and medium-voltage switchgear.
• Perform cable terminations in AREI standards.
• Commission, test, and inspect installations.
• Analyze and resolve technical faults independently or with partners.
• Conduct measurements and tests and prepare reports.
• Check materials, documentation, and work preparation; ensure safety on worksites.
