Job summary

Gill Auto Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles at our Tracy, CA location. You will work with diagnostic tools, communicate with service staff, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team player who can collaborate with others.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools; test drive vehicles.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services and complete online inspection reports.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies


• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles


• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems


• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Complete online multi-point inspection report


• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least2 years of experience as an auto technician


• Have knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance


• Have excellent customer service skills


• Are a team player


• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment


• Have a valid driver\'s license


• Have a High School Diploma
