Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is seeking an experienced Service Technician Apprentice for our Batesburg location. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing propane equipment while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Mechanically‑inclined with interest in trades and technical work.
• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Eagerness to learn company mobile tools and dispatch systems.
• Availability for full-time hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane equipment and systems.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment to reflect professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Learn and adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Learn and adhere to OSHA, DOT, and state/federal safety transport regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
