Job summary

Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is seeking an experienced Service Technician Apprentice for our Beaufort/Hilton Head location. The role focuses on safe installations, routine maintenance, and repair of propane equipment across residential, commercial, and agricultural settings.

You will perform vehicle inspections, assist with installations, and learn company safety guidelines while adhering to OSHA and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically-inclined with a strong interest in trades and technical work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of propane equipment and systems.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment to reflect professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Learn and adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Learn and adhere to OSHA, DOT, and all state/federal safety transport regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
