Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a Service Technician Apprentice in the United States to train alongside experienced technicians and learn propane installation, troubleshooting, and safety practices. The program leads to a full Service Technician role with licensing assistance provided at no cost.

You’ll train on customer-facing service and safety, with the opportunity to work on local routes and after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain CDL Class A or B with hazmat and tanker endorsement.
• Good driving record.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English.
• CDL Class A or B with hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or authorized to work in the United States.
• Applicants must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, assist in installations, repairs, and maintains propane equipment for retail customers.
• Develops knowledge and trains on how to load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane to and from specified destinations.
• Assists in inspecting vehicles and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Under direct supervision, assists in preparing and maintaining records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Under direct supervision, during daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service/safety information and answering inquiries.
• Will be required to train with team members who are working on call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response as needed.
• Once qualified, may be required to drive a Bobtail truck base on business needs and/or “On Call” rotation
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Under direct supervision, may work on propane appliances when needed.

• Good driving record
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or B license with hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
• Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
