Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an automotive service technician to diagnose and repair EV/HEV vehicles, including high voltage systems, for customers in New Jersey. You will document work orders, communicate with the service team, and uphold our standards for quality and safety.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, EPA 609 certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to use MS Office and DMS software. CPR training provided post-hire; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as automotive service technician, EV/HEV experience preferred.
• Knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage systems and EV powertrains.
• Customer-facing experience with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use MS Office and learn proprietary DMS software.
• EPA 609 Certification.
• Willingness to complete Lucid CPR training post hire.
• Valid driver’s license with no major suspensions in the past year.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Confidently repair basic and major mechanical issues and perform basic electrical and mechanical diagnosis
• Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems
• Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C's
• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team (i.e., advisor, manager, etc.) as well as customers.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach learned technical skills/knowledge with others
• Demonstrate attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences
• Ability to work remotely and support mobile service team as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, including previous experience with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair
• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software
• EPA 609 Certification
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS)
• Experience in luxury automobile repair environments.

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (hourly)

$31—$43 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
