Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair our electric vehicles. You will work on HV/LV systems, perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and document interactions using our software suite.

A strong focus on customer service and safety is required, with remote support capability for the mobile service team. Candidates should have 2–5 years of automotive tech experience, EV/HEV repair knowledge, EPA 609, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of automotive service technician experience, including EV/HEV diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of High Voltage, Low Voltage, and EV powertrains.
• Customer-facing with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn proprietary DMS software.
• EPA 609 Certification.
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire.
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year; drivers under 21 must have 3 years license.

Responsibilities

• Repair basic and major mechanical issues and perform basic electrical and mechanical diagnosis.
• Maintain knowledge of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems in EVs.
• Follow repair order documentation procedures (Three C's).
• Document all customer vehicle interactions using the software suite.

• Demonstrate and teach learned technical skills to others.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Lucid Motors vehicles. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. As a Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. Lucid will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.

Responsibilities:

• Confidently repair basic and major mechanical issues and perform basic electrical and mechanical diagnosis

• Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general electric vehicle systems

• Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C's

• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team (i.e., advisor, manager, etc.) as well as customers.

• Ability to demonstrate and teach learned technical skills/knowledge with others

• Demonstrate attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences

• Ability to work remotely and support mobile service team as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, including previous experience with EV/HEV diagnosis and repair

• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrains

• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to use applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software

• EPA 609 Certification

• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire

• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS)

• Experience in luxury automobile repair environments

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (hourly)

$34—$47 USD

Compensation & Benefits:

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
