Wastequip in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician to service Streetsweepers, Vacs and Refuse trucks on site for warranty support and independent haulers. Hourly pay ranges from $25.00 to $35.00+ based on experience, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues, following schematics, test driving, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a truck mechanic; welding is a plus and the ability to lift 50

Job Description: Our team is currently looking for a Service Technician to keep up with our level of demand. In this role the successful candidate will work on Streetsweepers, Vacs and Refuse trucks. In most cases the trucks will be providing warranty support, and repair to independent haulers who need work done on the trucks on site. This role is for our Phoenix, AZ location. Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00+ (Based on experience)

Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, Automotive/Class 8 truck chassis hydraulic schematic and pressure evaluation. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Ability to lift 50lbs plus, bend, stoop, kneel and climb ladders. Above all, must be able to work closely with co-workers or other team members. Looking for the right individuals that show integrity, in self and in their work. Minimum requirements 3+ years Truck mechanic experience Preferred some welding experience but not required 3+ years electrical experience Must have the ability to read and repair hydraulic systems along with electrical schematics and repair and diagnose connections of circuitry. Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position
