Job summary

NOV is seeking a skilled technician to oversee the preparation, service, and completion of Downhole tools in a hands-on shop environment. You will ensure timely tool service within quality procedures and maintain accurate service documentation, while operating cranes and forklifts safely.

The role requires coordinating with supervisors and other departments, aiding in new project plans, and keeping the shop well-maintained. Flexibility to perform other duties is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with downhole/service tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety and shop procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, service, and completion of Downhole tools.
• Service tools in a timely manner following Service Quality procedures.
• Fulfill Demands of Supervisors/Management for tool production.
• Develop accurate data for service documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment (Crane, Forklift).
• Interact with personnel from other departments.
• Contribute to action plans for new projects defined by supervisor.
• Maintain the shop environment as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience with service pertinent tools

Familiar with operational characteristics of company products

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall operation of preparation, service, and completion of Downhole tools
• Service tools in a timely manner without deviation from Service Quality procedure
• Complete demands of the Supervisors/Management pertaining to tool production
• Develop accurate and complete data pertaining to service documentation in a timely manner
• Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of equipment to perform duties required (Cranes, Forklifts, etc)
• Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines.
• Participate in action plans for new projects defined by supervisor.
• Maintain the work environment as outlined by the shop supervisor
• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience displayed and recorded which is applicable to the service pertinent tools preferred
• Sufficient training and experience to be thoroughly familiar with the operational characteristics of company products preferred
