Job summary

Kinetico is seeking a skilled Field Technician to install, service, and repair commercial water treatment systems. You will explain work to customers, manage relationships, and perform preventive maintenance with a focus on quality and safety.

Job description

• Install, service, perform preventive maintenance, and repair Kinetico commercial water treatment products
• Execute processes and procedures related to commercial products using various tools and mechanical devices
• Explain work being performed to customers and manage customer relationships
• Change water filters, membranes, Biozone bulbs, and carbon media in tanks
• Install Type A systems
• Repair Kinetico Reverse Osmosis systems, water softeners, and filter systems at customer sites
• Perform troubleshooting, leak repair, component replacement, and calibrations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the company vehicle, tools, and spare parts inventory
• Reduce customer call-backs
• Follow procedures and accurately document results
• Produce high-quality work and customer service
• Report to the Operations Manager, Commercial Technicians, and interact with employees, customers, suppliers, and service vendors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of field technician experience or relative experience required
• Valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record
• Plumbing experience and skills a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and show initiative
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, action and goal oriented
• Proven “customer-centric” focus and approach with the ability to establish and change priorities as required
• Problem solver, excellent listening and verbal skills, and exceptional customer service phone skills
• Organized and able to provide detailed follow-up and follow-through of all company processes and procedures
• Professional image, outstanding customer relations skills, and comfortable talking to customers about products
• Working knowledge of common software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.; familiarity with data entry systems a plus
• Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills
• Understanding the technology contained in the company’s products is essential
• Accurate management of data, willingness to help others and an interest in executing responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds with a dolly
• Occasional lifting up to 125 pounds
• Ability to use hand tools and work with small parts
