Job summary

Flow Control Group, via Airite, Inc., seeks a Compressed Air Technician to service industrial air systems across South Carolina. You will process work orders, interact with customers at their sites, read electrical diagrams, and install or repair air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, and related piping.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2–3 years of experience, strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, good communication, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years’ minimum experience as a compressed air technician.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel statewide.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and completing work orders.
  • Interacting with customers at their physical location on a daily basis.
  • Ordering equipment supplies, repair components, and general items for service.
  • Reading and understanding electrical and wiring diagrams.
  • Installing and repairing various manufactured brands of rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers).
  • Installing aluminum modular piping.
  • Observing and testing newly installed systems.
  • Planned maintenance and troubleshooting of various manufactured brands of rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers).
  • Maintaining truck stock levels.
