Job summary

Greenway Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician in Sikeston, MO to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment, both in the shop and in the field.

You will develop product knowledge and ensure accurate documentation of work performed, while mentoring apprentices and junior technicians. The role requires mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, experience with diagnostic tools, and a willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in agricultural equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Experience with basic computer functions like Service Advisor.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Perform repairs in the field as required.
• Develop a thorough understanding of technology offerings.
• Accountable for billable time and documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on repair orders.
• Participate in training programs to advance skills and knowledge.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Prepare reports and forms required with work assignments.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentor Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.
