Job summary

Veolia seeks an Asset Care Service Technician to install and service water purification systems at customer sites. You will deliver, set up, and exchange ion exchange tanks for commercial and industrial applications, ensuring systems operate to specification.

This role involves loading/unloading equipment, performing tests, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with customers. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied environments, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical.
• College coursework in chemistry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites.
• Load, unload, and inventory tanks on trucks and ensure quality specs.
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and maintain correct records.
• Take water samples and perform tests (e.g., pH, TDS, hardness).
• Rinse tanks to customer specifications and perform exchanges as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices on site.

Job Summary

The Asset Care Service Technician will install and service water purification systems at customer sites. In this role, you will deliver, set up, and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites
• Ensure that the correct daily equipment is loaded, secured, and meets quality specs
• Load and unload tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory on board trucks as required
• Complete Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspection
• Keep accurate accountability of inventory at each site and make changes as needed
• Communicate changes through the proper channels and follow up to ensure that changes have been made
• Take water samples and conduct the following tests, including but not limited to TOS, resistivity, pH, C021 Cl21 and hardness
• Accurately record results and make suggestions or changes as required
• Rinse ion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensure quality specifications are met
• Perform both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges
• Perform maintenance on equipment to include PVC repair and minor pump and motor repairs
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times
• Follow Water Tech and customer EHS policies and rules
• Maintain contact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs
• Maintain good customer relationships
• Assist with equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed
• May be required to be on call during non-business hours

• Knowledge of commercial & industrial membrane systems & UV systems
• Knowledge of PLC logic/programing
• Knowledge of ion exchange & membrane theory & operation, as well as pretreatment applications
• Ability & willingness to handle repetitive weight up to 50lbs
• Ability & willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Ability & willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, & power industry facilities

Education & Experience

Required

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license & clean driving record history

Preferred

• Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical
• College coursework in chemistry
• Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial/mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
• Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks
• Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification
