Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group in Rockville is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring safe and reliable service for customers.

You will work with Service Advisors and technicians, perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and maintain accurate records, while communicating repair needs clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as automotive technician or mechanic preferred.
• Applicable certifications and technical trainings (ASE, etc.).
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose mechanical/electrical issues.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Test drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and services recommended.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
