Job summary

Equip Mechanical Support Inc. is seeking a service technician to perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies across Minnesota and surrounding areas. A company vehicle will be provided for service calls.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical repair skills, plumbing experience, and the ability to travel. Training at the Ramsey, MN office is available, with on-call hours required and state-wide travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• Plumbing experience is required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies.
• Travel to customer sites in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
• Identify mechanical problems visually or with diagnostic equipment.
• Perform tests to confirm mechanical function.
• Repair, replace, or maintain components and systems.
• Travel to Ramsey, MN for tools and parts; training onboarding.
• Work on-call hours as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Description

We are looking for a service technician to perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies in Rochester, southwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and surrounding areas. The company will provide a truck/van for service calls.

• Specializes in multiple areas of water treatment technology repair, such as high-purity water systems, water softeners, water recycling, and specialized filtration systems.
• Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with other diagnostic equipment.
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
• Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems.
• Travel to the home office in Ramsey, MN to gather tools and parts regularly.
• Ability to travel to the Ramsey office for the first few months for training and onboarding purposes.
• Ability to work on-call hours as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the specialized area and general repair.

• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect water treatment technologies to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
